As human beings, we all deserve to be respected and to be respectful of one another. While some behaviors are appropriate on RPG, the following behaviors are not tolerated:

Spamming the Boards
First Offense: Official Warning
Second Offense: Suspended for 3 Days
Third Offense: Suspended for 7 Days
Fourth Offense: Banned

Thread-Jacking (LOOK AT EXPLANATIONS BELOW)
First Offense: Official Warning
Second Offense: Suspended for 3 Days
Third Offense: Suspended for 7 Days
Fourth Offense: Banned

Unrealistic Role-Playing (Includes But Not Limited to Mary Jane/Gary Stu, Inappropriate Behavior Not Befitting the Age, etc.)
First Offense: Official Warning
Second Offense: Suspended for 3 Days
Third Offense: Suspended for 7 Days
Fourth Offense: Banned

God-modding (LOOK AT EXPLANATIONS BELOW)
This isn't allowed, unless you have expressed permission from the other player.
First Offense: Official Warning
Second Offense: Suspended for 3 Days
Third Offense: Suspended for 7 Days
Fourth Offense: Banned

Foul Language/Profanity(Swearing Outside HP books)
First Offense: Official Warning
Second Offense: Suspended for 3 Days
Third Offense: Suspended for 7 Days
Fourth Offense: Banned

Sexual Content (That means no sex activity details, private parts, heavy petting, etc. Only sexual innuendos and allusions are tolerated.)
First Offense: Official Warning
Second Offense: Banned

Animal Abuse (This is NOT tolerated whatsoever. If it causes pain, it's abuse.)
First Offense: Warning
Second Offense: Banned

Child Abuse is NOT tolerated at all. (Mentions of it in character histories are tolerated but no role-playing it)
First Offense: Warning
Second Offense: Banned

I expect politeness and kindness from EVERY player. I don't care if your character is mean, but you, out of character (OOC), should NOT be. You will be polite and respectful to others. If you are not, you will be warned once. If you do it again you will be removed from the game. If someone is mean to you, please send the Admins an OWL, letting them know. One of us will talk to them.

Do not discuss politics, religion, sexual preference or any other "hot-button" topics either in the OOC board or in the chatbox. If you want to discuss that, use MSN or some other messenger or email program outside of the game. These topics can start fights and cause hatred, dislike and judgment in the game, which I will NOT put up with.


EXPLANATIONS

What is thread-jacking?

Since almost every board allows everyone to create threads and reply to them, we've had a problem that we call 'thread-jacking.' This is when two or more people create a thread so that they can have a conversation together and a third, uninvited person jumps into the conversation.

Topic Title: -Subject of the Thread-
Description: OPEN (meaning anyone can post), CLOSED (meaning no one else can post), or EXCLUSIVE (example: Lelouch & Kallen Only, Second Year Only, Slytherins Only, etc)

Examples:

Topic Title: Strolling Down the Corridor
Description: OPEN

Topic Title: Sitting By the Lake
Description: CLOSED

Topic Title: Studying for Charms
Description: Joe, Penny, & Wyatt Only

Topic Title: Exploding Snaps Game
Description: Ravenclaws Only



So, now that you got the picture, we expect everyone to adhere to the wishes of the thread-maker. Any thread-jacking from here on out will be punished. However, any descriptions left empty will be treated as an OPEN conversation where anyone can talk.

There is also something called Thread-Spying (not the actual term). This is where a person makes a thread in order to spy on the things occurring in another thread.

Topic Title: Spying on "Professor Meeting"
Description: CLOSED

While this isn't a big offense, it's almost close to indirect thread jacking even though it technically isn't. As long as people aren't complaining, this might be tolerated although it's frowned upon.


What is God-Modding?

This is where you control the actions of the other player. This often occurs without his or her consent.

Example:

Player #1: Cassopeia Marling
Player #2: Lawrence Clay

"Cassopeia stood at the entrance to the Slytherin Common Room before handing over her pocket-watch to Lawrence, who looked at the Ravenclaw with suspicion. Lawrence merely shook his head but allowed Cassopeia entry into the Slytherin Common Room."


Obviously, Cassopeia was controlling the actions and expression of Lawrence Clay, hence she was God-modding.

Thus, God-modding the characters of other real-life players without their consent is forbidden and the disciplinary repercussions shall be meted out if there is any found on here. If consent is given, it MUST be noted at the bottom of the post as an OOC or out-of-character note.
